Broke your new glasses on the passenger seat
Driving our asses in inclement weather
You squint your eyes try to see through the sleet
Stop on the side of the highway wait for it to get better
But we’re in trouble
Seeing double
Trouble
One two three one two
Counting the ways we may have come this far
Counting the days we’ve spent together
Looking ahead guess i’ll live out of my car
Make a new bed in the back of canadian goose feathers
To ward off the trouble
Seeing double
Trouble
One two three one two
I can recall the big and the small gestures of kindness
The people who shared all they could they all cared for me even in my blindness
I guess that's a gift that can't be revoked by the arrows of new destinations
I’m sure i'll return it in time wind my way back like birds fly with navigation
Come the spring showers I’ll bid my farewell
Wish every hour this town weren’t so hard to part with
So many tender games of show and tell
Guess I can’t reverse the wheeling thoughts
That got us into trouble
Seeing double
Trouble
One two three one two

The bridge between our lips
It is crumbling
Your chin falls a kiss
Upon a precious garden
Leap to sleep the canyon creaks a welcome
Climb the sheets to dry sandbanks we warm our bodies
The pearl of your wrist beneath the current
So deep we can’t speak lost in a humble gesture
Leap to sleep the canyon creaks a welcome
Climb the sheets to dry sandbanks we warm our bodies
I can’t keep
dying
I can’t sleep
I’m flying
Into your arms
Into your arm
Into your arms
Hold me
The crown of your hips
We’re uncoiling
Temples fingertips
Building a home of ruins
Leap to sleep the canyon creaks a welcome
Climb the sheets to dry sandbanks we warm our bodies
I can’t keep
dying
I can’t sleep
I’m flying
Into your arms
Into your arm
Into your arms
Hold me

There’s a part of me that wants it
A part asking to be fooled
In the onslaught of traffic
There’s no reading warning signals
Run me over in your hands
Cheap plastic rubber bands
Snap me back to take commands
Till there’s no more ground that I can stand on
No more dusk no dawn beyond
Take it all take it till it’s all gone
Stainless steel the water pot
Cheeks are hot with shame
Take for granted all you’ve got
Until it’s boiled away
Both hands on the bank can’t seem to swim free
Feet on the shore the deeper they sink
Into muck and mud it looks fine from above
But there’s no more ground that I can stand on
No more dusk no dawn beyond
Take it all take it till it’s all gone
Succumb to the sea left me on my knees
Pray to the tide you’ll return
All you’ve taken from me money falling like leaves
Kindling fires that you burn
Dusk till dawn the sun will turn
Take it all for what it’s worth
A death becomes rebirth

Thundercloud

Lost control I stole without reason
Lost my thoughts in the parking lot
Drank the poison
Listening to the thin voices calling
Can’t hold back an attack so appalling
Appalling
Thundercloud
Not right now
I can’t see so clear
Thunder deep
Not much sleep
All this fear
Fear
In the seat quick to leap to confusions
Trip on grief no relief no conclusions
Everytime I made fine chewing anger
Swallow sponge soak and plunge swim in danger
Wipe the mess of what’s left from the dark clouds
Did my best with the wreck when I spoke too loud
Thundercloud
Not right now
I can’t see so clear
Thunder deep
Not much sleep
All this fear
Fear
Fear

When I cannot sleep at night
I sit at the edge of the bed turn off the light
Then I breath in deep
The memories
Your fingers running through my hair
Your lips pressed against the rim of my shoulder
Then I breath in deep
The memories
I know it’s my own room but it feels empty
Hold on to a cup of tea filled to the brim
I know you’ll be back soon but I just can’t help myself
I can’t wait so I’ll meet you at the rim
At the rim
Your hand in mine as my head spins
Your lips pressed against the rim of my chin
Then I breath in deep
The memories
Oh a halfway connection
It’s nowhere near perfection
A picture is nothing like your touch
A letter can’t really enough
Can’t say enough
Can’t say enough
Can’t say enough
Can’t say enough
I know it’s my own room but it feels empty
Hold on to a cup of tea filled to the brim
I know you’ll be back soon b ut I just can’t help myself
I can’t wait so I’ll meet you at the rim
At the rim
Your hands around my waist
Your lips pressed against the rim of my face
Then I breath in deep
The memories
Can’t say enough
Can’t say enough
Can’t say enough
Can’t say enough
Can’t say enough
Can’t say enough
Can’t say enough
Can’t say enough
Can’t say enough
Can’t say enough
